Meet the Team

The initial vision for NOVO Healthcare that includes our core principles and our approach to treatment is discussed with every new provider. We make sure that every employee shares our vision of wellness, and we consistently encourage all practitioners to stretch themselves further in their knowledge and commitment to providing holistic care that includes medication management, teaching about the brain, and exploration into various practices, non-medicine alternatives, diet changes, and supportive counseling to achieve the highest level of functioning possible.

Windle Morgan, PMHNP-BC

I grew up in Nashville, TN and attended Austin Peay State University for my undergraduate degree. I graduated from Trevecca University with a Master’s in counseling psychology and then completed a psychiatric nurse practitioner program at Vanderbilt University. I have been working in the healing arts for over thirty years, specifically in recovery and psychiatric medicine. I am driven by the idea that we can create a new paradigm in mental health that is outcome driven, yet patient focused, within a framework of recovery for all. This concept is the foundation of NOVO Healthcare, LLC. We will not stop until each patient has achieved his or her greatest potential and fully lives into recovery from whatever diagnoses or human conditions that have brought them to our door for help.

Joy Elizabeth (Joy-Liz) Robinson, PMHNP-BC

Adolescent, Adult, & Geriatric Provider

I have been practicing in the medical field for the past 10 yrs. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Nursing from Union University in 2013 and immediately started working with med surg and oncology. I then moved to a respiratory floor and critical care unit. I saw a great need for psychiatric care in the hospital and general population at that time. Due to this, I continued my education and graduated with my Master's from the University of South Alabama in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I really want to reach people where they are and help them succeed in meeting their goals. I love to read, exercise, and spend time with my family and my dog (Kallie).

Samuel G. Adler, PMHNP-BC

Adolescent, Adult, & Geriatric Provider

I am a board-certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. My passion for mental health began at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I studied the neurobiological underpinnings of stress and PTSD in hamsters. Over a couple of years, I realized I wanted to transfer my skills and research to helping people recover from stress and PTSD, so I decided to pursue a career as a clinician. After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a Master of Science in Nursing, I began practicing at a local community mental health center. Since joining the Novo Healthcare team in 2022, I have learned to harness my background in neuroscience to provide useful and digestible education during our visits. In my free time, I enjoy cooking unnecessarily complicated meals and enjoying the music scene in Nashville.
